Data-Centre Heat Load Bank
Server simulators for the white space: rack-mount and floor units that draw IT power and blow hot air into the hot aisle, so UPS, PDUs, RPPs and cooling are proven together.
Fill the Hall Before the Servers Arrive
A new data hall has to prove it can power and cool its design load before tenants move in. Heat load banks sit in the racks (or on the floor between them), plug into the rack power strips or RPPs, and push hot air out the back like servers do. Controlled together, they ramp the hall through its load steps while the electrical and mechanical teams watch voltages, temperatures and failover.
- Rack-mount and floor-standing units
- Plug into rack PDUs or RPP circuits
- Hot air exhausted into the hot aisle
- Networked control of many units
- Step and failover testing
- Logs power and temperature
Data-Centre Heat Load Bank in plain words
What it does
Rack-mount and floor units that stand in for servers during commissioning — drawing their power and putting out their heat — so electrical and cooling systems are proven before IT arrives.
Pick it when
- You are commissioning a data hall before servers arrive
- Cooling, airflow and power must be tested together
- Racks will carry high-density or AI loads
Better choice if…
You only need to test the generator plant

Common Questions
A single big load bank proves the UPS but not the cooling, airflow and branch circuits. Heat loads spread across the racks test the whole hall the way servers will use it.
