Overview

The Electrical Room in One Lineup

A typical electrical room has a switchboard, a few floor- or wall-mounted transformers, a row of panelboards and a lot of cable between them. An integrated switchboard puts all of that into one lineup: the transformers sit in their own ventilated sections and the panelboards are mounted in the switchboard, all connected by bus or short factory wiring. It saves floor space and field labour, and everything is tested together before it leaves our shop.

  • Main and feeder sections
  • Dry-type transformers 15 – 500 kVA in ventilated sections
  • 120/208 V or 347/600 V panelboards built in
  • Transfer switch, SPD and metering sections
  • Bus-connected, factory-wired and tested
  • One set of drawings, one supplier

In Plain Words

Integrated Switchboard in plain words

What it does

One factory-wired lineup that holds the main switchboard, dry-type transformers, lighting panelboards and transfer equipment — the whole electrical room in a single assembly.

Pick it when

  • Floor space in the electrical room is tight
  • You want to cut on-site wiring and installation time
  • One supplier should own the whole lineup

Better choice if…

You want the room pre-built and delivered as a building

FAQ

Common Questions

The transformer sections are separately ventilated and sized for the heat they produce. We check the temperature rise of the whole lineup during design, and low-temperature-rise transformers are available if the room is warm.
