Three-Phase Polemount Transformer
A single three-phase tank for overhead service: fewer parts on the pole than a three-unit bank, one set of connections and one nameplate. 30 – 300 kVA up to 34.5 kV.
Three-Phase Without the Three-Can Bank
Overhead three-phase service is traditionally built with three single-phase transformers on a crossarm or cluster bracket. A three-phase polemount does the same job in one tank: three HV bushings on the cover, four LV bushings on the side, and one set of fusing and arresters. It is lighter to install, tidier on the pole and simpler to replace.
- One tank, three HV bushings, four LV bushings
- Delta–wye or wye–wye connection
- Pole brackets or platform mounting
- Simpler installation than a three-unit bank
- Mineral oil or FR3 natural ester
- Corrosion-resistant finish
Three-Phase Polemount Transformer in plain words
What it does
One three-phase tank on a pole or platform — an alternative to a bank of three single-phase units when an overhead-fed site needs three-phase power.
Pick it when
- A farm, shop or small plant on an overhead line needs three-phase power
- You want one unit instead of a three-transformer bank
- There is no room or budget for a pad
Better choice if…
The load is larger or the service is underground

Common Questions
It is lighter on the pole, has fewer connections and arrives as one tested assembly. A three-unit bank lets the utility replace one phase at a time from common stock. Follow your utility’s preference — we build both.
